| Podcasting in the Bavaria District | |||||

A podcast is a method of publishing an audio or video broadcast through the Internet. Podcasting allows you to subscribe to a feed of news reports or broadcasts on many topics. Once you download special podcasting software and subscribe to a podcasting feed, the feed automatically downloads audio broadcasts to your desktop computer. You can also load them onto your MP3 player so you can listen to them at your convenience. |

| At present the Bavaria District has twelve school podcasts including the District VODcast; video on demand podcast. Each podcast has its own flavor. The Bavaria VODcast highlights programs within the Bavaria District and is a video broadcast. Patch Talk highlights Patch High School programs and events. It is an audio podcast with some special video segments. In the Cave with Dave is a "radio show" that features young artists across the district. The Patch Elementary School Podcast gives students and teachers a venue to showcase their current projects. The Rainbow Elementary School Podcast and School News is a podcast discussing items of interest for parents and students at Rainbow ES. | |||||

The Wuerzburg Elementary Panther Podcast is a podcast produced by the Wuerzburg Elementary's Gifted Ed. Class. It is an audio podcast and gives the class experience producing a "radio program." The Ansbach Elementary School Podcast highlights programs at Ansbach Elementary School and is a video broadcast. The Boeblingen Elementary Middle School Podcast highlights programs at Boeblingen Elementary Middle Schooland is an audio broadcast. Robinson Barracks Elementary/Middle School Podcast highlights programs at Robinson Barracks Elementary (soon to also be a Middle School!) and is a video broadcast. The Bavaria Student Video Podcast highlights student videos that are submitted by their teachers across the Bavaria District. The Bamberg High School Podcast highlights programs at Bamberg High School and is a video broadcast. The Schweinfurt Elementary School Podcast highlights programs at Schweinfurt Elementary School and is a video broadcast. The Schweinfurt Middle School Podcast highlights programs at Schweinfurt Middle School and is an audio broadcast. |

Using podcatching software you can subscribe to a podcast and have it arrive in your computer each time there is a new show. Below are the links of our Bavaria podcasts. Have your podcatching software subscribe to the podcasts you are interested in and they will show up in your computer just like a subscription to a magazine.
