Welcome to Bamberg Elementary School, home of the Eagles. Bamberg Elementary School serves students in preschool through sixth grade.  Bamberg Elementary School is located on Warner Barracks in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Bamberg, Germany.    

Our vision is Communities committed to success for all learners! and our mission is for everyone to hold high expectations for themselves and others, to maximize student learning and achievement as they grow academically, socially, physically, and creatively. 

Bamberg ES has a great staff of 40 professionals who bring their own skills and special talents to each classroom. Each day the student can expect a fun day of learning based on the high standards of  the Dept of Defense Education Activity and on our own school’s continuous improvement plan .  

Bamberg students are readers and visit our media center often. Our media center had over 44,000 books checked out during the last school year.  A peek into a classroom will see students actively engaged in reading!  

Committed to technology, Bamberg Elem has strived to keep technology as a tool for learning. Our two technology labs are busy. Teachers have students in the labs learning skills for our ever-changing world. Students use programs like FASST MATH, Accelerated Math, Accelerated Reader and others to engage students in the subject matter and individual classrooms use technology to extend the learning. 

 BES students attend a variety of specials including a PE, Art, Music, Guidance and Host Nation. Students are learning to draw and paint, sing, and dance and play music, as well as how to keep their body healthy and fit. Our students also learn about the city and country in our Host nation classes.

 So, what else makes BES so great? Not only is it our commitment to bringing a quality education to our students but it’s the extras we offer Students at BES. Committed to excellence, students at BES are given many opportunities.    

BES offers a variety of special programs and services including Gifted Education,  LI, Read180, speech and counseling. Our health services include student screenings for dental, hearing and sight.  Bamberg Elementary also host a screening program for children ages 3-5 to check for developmental problems and there is the early learning program  “SureStart” for children age 4 whose families are ranked E4 or below.  

Assemblies and activities throughout the year include our “Cat in the Hat Day” celebrating reading, as well as special dance and musical guests. In addition, surprise visitors may come to discuss anything from great Americans to the Constitution of  the United States. Students and families are engaged in fun events throughout the school year, such as Fall Fest, Family nights and many others.

 School doesn’t end when the final bell rings. BES after school clubs keep students learning while they’re having fun. Here the stacking club has fun as it build speed and coordination. There is a yearbook club, history day club, art club, and several others. And of course, what is more fun than learning about our host nation.
