When you open a new book to its clean white pages and smell the essence of fresh ink, an adventure begins that will linger in your mind forever.
Each chapter introduces more exciting characters and landscapes.
There are happy moments and sad times, successes and failures.
Each page prepares you for the next. And then, it ends.

Our school was like a new book…in 1954. There have been happy moments and sad times, successes and failures. Each year has been a chapter with great characters on every page. Our names were written in this book.

Traditionally, when you open something new, you cut or untie a ribbon. As we close our school, we are tying the ribbon back together. Tying the ribbon is a symbolic gesture that will help us remember and respect the history of this building and the memories it holds. It also symbolizes the connection and togetherness we will always have because we have been part of the story of this school. This is a story to remember…and this is the last page.

As we leave, we will all open a new book, and begin a new story with new characters, happy moments, sad times, successes and failures. I can smell that fresh ink already...
