This school year, the focus of the Bavaria  District's educational mission is Bavaria Reads.   The Bavaria District  has always understood the importance of reading as a life long learning endeavor.  The Bavaria District truly believes that reading continues to serve as the foundation for a good, sound, quality education.

In the Bavaria District, we intend to keep the main thing the main thing.  Reading in the Bavaria District is the main thing. 

I encourage you to become actively involved in your student's educational life.   

I encourage you to visit your student's school,  talk with your student's teacher, and talk to the school's principal about the Bavaria District's reading program.

I encourage you to become a parent who is involved in supporting and reinforcing reading in your home.  Students whose parents read to them every day grow up with the joy of reading; become avid readers; and become life-long learners.   

Reading enriches a student's mind and serves as the instrument that will enhance a student's awareness to the world around them.  

I encourage you to join your student as well as the teachers and administrators of the Bavaria District this year;  Adopt our theme…Bavaria Reads into your home.  Make reading a family focused activity every night.  If you do, your student will be better prepared to meet the challenges of his future.
